Change of Use from Offices to Dental Practice

Armley Court, Leeds

DMS Architecture secured Full Planning Application from Leeds City Council for the change of use from B1 (Business) to D1 (Non-Residential Institutions) of an office building in Armley, in order to create a new dental practice. The proposal requires no alterations to the external appearance of the recently constructed building, with internal alterations proposed to create four surgery rooms, two consulting rooms, two waiting rooms and associated office, staff and support spaces. DMS Architecture worked closely with the client and the Local Planning Authority to ensure a successful outcome to the application process.

Agricultural Storage Buildings

Milford Road, Sherburn-in-Elmet

DMS Architecture have prepared and submitted a full planning application for the construction of two agricultural storage buildings, a foul-water pumping station and associated external works following demolition of existing agricultural storage buildings near Sherburn-in-Elmet. The project is currently awaiting planning approval from Selby District Council, and DMS Architecture are working closely with the client and the Local Planning Authority to resolve any issues which arise during the application process, particulrly with regard to the Green Belt designation of the site within the Local Plan.

DMS Architecture have prepared 3D images of the proposed replacement of a listed pedestrian footbridge at Corbridge Railway Station.

Mixed-Use Development

Queen Lizzie Sports Bar, Selby

DMS Architecture have submitted applications for Planning Permission with Conservation Area Consent and Listed Building Consent to Selby District Council for the partial conversion of an existing public house into five no., two-storey dwellings. The public house use will be retained to the front part of the Grade 2 Listed building, with the rear ancillary buildings sensitively converted with high-quality hard-paved private and semi-private spaces created for residents within the existing courtyard. DMS Architecture are currently working closely with the client, other consultants and the Local Planning Authority to resolve any issues which arise during the application process.

Extension to Public House

Low Street, South Milford

DMS Architecture have prepared and submitted a retrospective planning application for the construction of a single-storey extenion to The Swan Hotel in South Milford. The extension will provide additional storage space for the public house. The project is currently awaiting planning approval from Selby District Council, and DMS Architecture are working closely with the client and the Local Planning Authority to resolve any issues during the application process.

Pharmacy Extension to Health Centre

Huddersfield Road, Holmfirth

Full planning permission has been achieved for a pharmacy extension, following extensive pre-application consultation. The proposed design complements and is in keeping with the design of the existing health centre, minimising its visual impact. The proposal provides an extension to the practice’s current dispensary facilities, with increased opening hours and services being offered.

3D Visualisation of National Station Improvement Programme

Leicester Station

DMS Architecture have prepared 3D images of the proposed railway station improvement works at Leicester Station. The proposed works include the redevelopment and refurbishment of the Porte Cochere to provide improved car parking, retail and pedestrian access to the station.

Mixed-Use Development

Streatham Road, Mitcham, London

DMS Architecture worked closely with the contractor to deliver a mixed-use social housing project for fourteen apartments (two- and three-bedrooms) and two commercial units at Streatham Road, Mitcham, arranged over four floors. The project completed on site in August 2011, and achieved a wide variety of standards including Code for Sustainable Homes (Level 3), Lifetime Homes and Design Quality Indicators.
